Liquitex Mediums and GroundsLiquitex Pouring MediumLiquitex Pouring Medium can be used in combination with acrylic colours to create seamless surfaces and puddles of colour. Liquitex Pouring Medium is formulated to create a smooth, seamless, and strong body of paint when poured or dripped onto a surface. Suspend colours in Liquitex Pouring Medium for sculptural effects and surface treatments. Liquitex pouring medium is permanent, non-yellowing and waterproof once dry. Added to fluid acrylic colours, it promotes drying and allows for a homogenous, smooth coloured film. Creates even “puddles,” poured sheets, and flowing applications of color. Does not craze, crack, or hold bubbles in the paint film upon drying. Retains high gloss and wet appearance when dry. Will not add transparency when mixed with color. Flexible, non-yellowing and water resistant when dry.
Liquitex Satin VarnishThis fluid, low viscosity varnish produces a satin finish without yellowing or fogging. It dries to a hard, non-tacky, flexible surface that is dirt- and water-resistant. This archival varnish will not crack as surfaces expand and contract during temperature and humidity changes.
Liquitex Gloss MediumA gloss medium that is mixed with colors for transparency and glazing. Can also be used as a final gloss varnish. (Not removable)
Liquitex Matte MediumGive your paint a matte finish, while thinning and extending its volume. Or use as a collaging adhesive and fixative. Reduces surface gloss, increases color depth and transparency. Lowers viscosity of heavier body paints, giving increased flow. Extends your color further without affecting acrylic stability. Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality.
Liquitex Modeling PasteAcrylic and marble putty to build texture on rigid supports and create 3D forms. 100% acrylic polymer and marble dust putty builds form and structure. Dries to a very hard 'stone-like' opaque white matte finish that you can sand, drill or carve. Can be used on its own, mixed with color or painted once dry. Can be overpainted with acrylics, oils, watercolors, graphite or dry pastels. Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality.
Liquitex High Gloss VarnishUse this high sheen varnish to protect artwork. Ideal for use over any acrylic paint or stain, it will not crack or yellow on rigid surfaces such as wood. Easy to use and clean up. The water-based formula is sandable for furniture-grade finishes.
Liquitex Liquithick Thickening AdditiveThis thickening gel is designed for water-soluble acrylic paint and mediums. It produces a matte surface sheen when dry. Used in small amounts, it produces handling characteristics very close to that of oil or encaustic paint. At higher concentrations it can thicken paint or mediums to sculptural consistency. Drying time will be between 24 hours to 7 days depending upon amount of thickening gel added to paint or medium.
Liquitex Flow-Aid AdditiveIncreases the flow of acrylic colors on all surfaces. This handy medium will give more even lay-down in flat brushing techniques (i.e., hard edge painting), and it allows better, deeper staining techniques (i.e., color field painting.) Also produces a fluid spray when mixed with acrylics in airbrushes or air guns. In 4 oz. bottles.
Liquitex Acrylic Masking FluidMasking Fluid lets artists temporarily block out areas of work so they can create sharp lines and defined effects. Paint it on to the areas to protect, leave to dry and apply acrylic color or spray paint. Once the color dries, simply peel away the masked area. Non-pigmented and non-staining, Masking Fluid lets the surface underneath show through. The latex-rich formula is super flexible and easy to remove.
Liquitex Acrylic Iridescent MediumAn ingenious medium which makes all acrylic colors iridescent while allowing the artist to control the intensity. Excellent for decoy painting, fabric painting and marbling. In an 8 oz. jar.
Liquitex Acrylic Glass MediumGlass Medium transforms regular acrylic color into permanent, scratch-resistant glass paint. Ideal for use on ceramic, porcelain and glass, the formula helps artists achieve a smooth, even flow without stroke marks or drips. Mix with Soft Body Acrylic or Acrylic Ink, then paint onto clean glass and leave to completely dry before curing in the oven at 300 degrees F/150 degrees C for 30 minutes. The result is a high gloss, finish which is durable, non-cracking and water resistant.
Liquitex White Artist GessoA classic titanium white acrylic ground to prepare your surface and add a high level of tooth. Primes surfaces and adds a high level of tooth for maximum color adhesion and stability. Gives a matte white, opaque finish which provides a professional standard, archival base to help maintain the longevity of your work. Stiffens your canvases and creates the optimum absorbency for paint application. Establishes a good surface for preliminary charcoal or pencil drawings. Always use a quality artist's gesso if you want a lasting, archival base - a low-cost ground will flake and separate from your support, taking your work with it. Under the right conditions, a professional gesso will last generations
Liquitex Clear Artist GessoA ready-mixed painting ground, Liquitex Gesso can be used with any kind of paint. Gesso provides the perfect "tooth" and adhesion to a wide variety of supports and surfaces such as canvas, paper, and wood. It can be thinned with water. This Clear Gesso makes an excellent high-tooth, stable surface for most media. It dries clear to translucent, depending on thickness. Flexible and non-yellowing when dry. Mix Liquitex Clear Gesso with acrylic paint to create a colored gesso.
Liquitex Basics GessoAn economical, opaque white gesso to create the ideal absorbency, stiffness and adhesion for paint. Gives a matte white, opaque finish which provides a long-lasting base. Primes surfaces and adds a high level of tooth for good color adhesion and stability. Stiffens your canvases and creates the right absorbency for paint application. Establishes a good surface for acrylics, oils, charcoal, pastels or pencil drawings. You can use this as a dry base for oil paints, but do not mix with oils.
Liquitex Basics Gels and MediumsBASICS Mediums are developed for students and artists that need dependable quality at an economical price. They can be mixed with acrylic paint to adjust how the paint works, feels and looks. They can be used to add texture, adjust paint flow, and alter the working properties of the color. Because they include acrylic resin, these mediums maintain or add to the stability of the paint film, and can be used in any amount desired.
