Anne Brochu Lambert

Anne Brochu Lambert is an established multimedia artist, living and working in Regina, SK (Canada). Her art practice embraces an intentional layered approach; its foundation being drawing and painting through analog and digital means, to which she may combine collage, photography, printmaking or textile assemblage. She has realized multimedia art installations to further engage the viewers. Her visual language draws on abstraction and pared down symbolism. She has in recent years explored the dynamics of filiation, the impacts of the resurgence of patriarchal discourses, as well as the landscape molded by human activities, to reflect on our complex relations to our surroundings.

Originally from Lévis (QC), she has a diploma in the Arts (D.E.C. / Arts et Lettres, CEGEP Lévis-Lauzon QC) and has continued to enrich her practice through artist residencies and professional projects. Notably, she was juried in a 2-year mentorship program with independent curator Serge Murphy, funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and led by the Conseil culturel fransaskois (2016-2018). She studied cold wax painting with artist & author Rebecca Crowell, during a five-week sojourn in Greece (Skopelos Foundation for the Arts, 2019).

One of her recent multimedia art installations was part of the curated two-person exhibition “Memories of the Sun” (March-April 2023, Art Gallery of Regina). Invited by the curator Sandee Moore, Brochu Lambert developed an interactive 35 mm slides projection, reinventing the vacation slideshow by revealing layers of interventions on her source material - a collection of discarded unknown amateur photographs. The viewers could then watch the slideshow, which was activated by movement, or choose to be part of the projection, further transforming the landscapes by inserting their body. This interactive installation was also featured in her solo exhibition at the artist run center CAVA (Edmonton, Alta, winter 2025).

Brochu Lambert has exhibited in solos, curated group exhibitions and juried shows in Canada and the USA. Her works have been acquired by Sask Arts and the City of Regina, as well as numerous private collections in Canada and the USA.
